North American Irish Dance Championships

“The North American Irish Dance Championships (NAIDC) is the premiere Irish dance competition contested on the continent.  Held in rotating cities in North America, this prestigious event is attended by top dancers from around the world.  The NAIDC is hosted each year by a different North American region on behalf of the Irish Dance Teachers Association of North American (IDTANA).  With the guidance of the governing body of Irish dance, An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha (CLRG), the NAIDC is an official qualifying event for the World Irish Dance Championships. The 2015 NAIDC will be hosted by the New England Region in Providence, Rhode Island.  The event will be held at the Rhode Island Convention Center from July 1st to July 5th, 2015 (naidc.org).”

Rising Tide has three qualified dancers. Erin and Brooke will be competing on Wednesday July 1 in the U20 and U16 categories and Blaire will be competing on Friday July 3 in the U14 category.
